My team would like to setup Tempo timesheet for Jira service management. What we understood that developers have to select particular account for logging billable or non-billable hours. Is there an automation which can select account field based on organization filed from JIRA so that it can automatically select relevent accounts from the list and give options to developer to log billable or non-billable hours for that particular customer.
Hi @Sambreen Saleh and welcome to the community,
On Tempo TS you create customers and then account for these customers. These accounts may fall into a category which you define, e.g. billable, non-billable, investment, etc. Accounts can be linked to projects. So for example you can have from customer Acme two accounts:
You link these two accounts to just one or multiple jira spaces. The developer can choose per issue the account to which this items falls on.
Apart from the above, you can have automation to autoselect one of the linked tempo accounts, based on your rules. You could try either Jira Automation, or any other similar 3rd party tool like JMWE.
Let me know if the above helps.
