Hi everyone,
I am trying to visualize a predicted completion date (forecast) on my Jira dashboard using the Rich Filter Time Series Chart gadget.
I currently have a chart showing Created vs. Resolved Story Points, but I cannot find the option to add a Trendline to project our progress into the future.
My Setup:
App: Rich Filters for Jira Dashboards
Goal: I want to see a dashed line projecting our average velocity so I can estimate if we will finish our backlog by April 2026.
The Problem: When I go to the "Time Series" configuration or the gadget settings, the Trendlines tab is missing.
Questions:
Is the "Trendlines" feature part of the core Rich Filters app, or does it require a specific extension like the Rich Filters Statistics Extension?
If we need an extension, which specific one should our Jira Admin install to enable forecasting on Time Series charts?
Are there any specific permissions needed to see the Trendlines configuration?
Any guidance or links to the specific documentation for this feature would be greatly appreciated.
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Being about a 3rd party app, the best option would be to contact the app vendor directly via the support portal.
In case you want to try a differed plugin from Atlassian Marketplace, the Release Burndown Burnup Chart gadget offered by our Great Gadgets app can make this forecast for you and display your milestones, as in this example.
Danut.
Hi @Marc -Devoteam- I have gone through the documentation but I didnt find such a guide on how to configure something like that. The trendlines. This is why I am asking here. Thanks

Please reply in the thread, instead of starting a new one.
As I mentioned, as the documentation does mention this, but if you can't seem to use it, reach out to the support department vendor/developer of the app.
Link is in my original reply.
