Jira Issues cloning based on the dropdown value selection

Is it possible to clone the issues based on the dropdown value selected on the create issue screen in JIRA ? I know there is a way in cloning the project by setting the conditions on the post function workflows using JWME plugin. Issues has to be cloned when the dropdown value of the custom field is set to yes in the create form on the parent project.
