It's long shot, but I would like to have option to create ideas for contributors, but without possibility to view the list of all ideas across the company (We have a rule: Contributor cannot see other contributors' ideas). Just "Apply - Thank you. Buy"

Hi @Roman Pinkovskyy

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

This is not possible within Jira Product Discovery itself. The access model in JPD is quite simple. Anyone who can access the project can see its ideas. There is no issue security and no "create only" role, so contributors always see the full list once they are in the project.

What I would do instead is decouple the idea intake from JPD. Two options:

  • A Jira Service Management portal usually serves as the front door. Contributors submit ideas as requests, seeing only their own, matching your rule. An automation then creates a corresponding idea in your JPD project, accessible only to the product team.
  • Alternatively, you might consider using a form within a standard Jira project that includes issue security. Pairing this with an automation rule that copies the submission to JPD can create a smooth, efficient process.

In both cases, contributors get the "apply and thank you" experience you describe, and the actual idea pool stays invisible to them. Since this question has been open for a while, is this still relevant for you?

Cheers, Martin
