Just learning JMWE.  Can a JMWE automation be manually triggered from an issue using the Actions menu (like you can with the native automations) ?  I'm not seeing a function to do this.  (Jira-cloud, premium)

Hi @lesa_miller and welcome to the Community!

No, JMWE is a workflow extension app. Its functions are explicitly designed to be embedded in workflow conditions, validators and postfunctions.

Hope this helps!

Hi @lesa_miller

actually, you can, if you create a "global self-transition", i.e. a transition from "any status" to "itself", which you can do in the workflow editor, and then add the JMWE automation on that transition. In that case, the transition will appear under the Actions menu instead of the Status (transitions) menu of the issue.

Let me add to @Walter Buggenhout's anwer that, obviously, you can "manually trigger" a JMWE "automation" by manually transitioning the issue to a new status.
