Install Confluence Questions parallel to Jira

Marco Schauer
May 28, 2014

Hello,
we already have a running, own hosted, Jira installation und want to install/use Confluence Questions parallel on the same server. Can we just install Confluence Questions with the normal installer?

Is that possible? What do we have to consider?

Thank you and best regards

Marco

Yes. Confluence Questions is an addon for Confluence. Confluence is a separate system to Jira. You can install Confluence on the same server as Jira, add Questions to it, and they'll run together fine as two separate systems.

You'll need to make sure the server has the oomph to run both systems at the same time (cpu, disk space, memory and so-on), but it will be fine if it's got enough resources.

OK, so Questions can't be running without Confluence, right?
