Our company is currently using JIRA (self-hosted version 9.4.14) along with the TestRail Test Management Integration for JIRA add-on.

I am writing to inquire about the possibility of retrieving TestRail information using JQL within JIRA.

Our JIRA administrator has informed us that it might not be possible to query TestRail data using JQL because it is not stored in the JIRA database.

Specifically, we are interested in knowing if there is a way to query the `testrail_cases` linked to a JIRA issue ID using JQL.

Could you please provide guidance on whether this is possible and, if so, how we can set it up? Any documentation or step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

welcome to the Atlassian Community! :-)

While it's likely that someone in the community knows, it's always the most efficient and safest option to reach out to the App vendor directly.
You can contact them through any of the support ways listed here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1213701/testrail-integration-for-jira?tab=support&hosting=datacenter

Greetings
Philipp
