Is assembling "what changed" across a Jira release a real pain for your team?

Disclosure up front: we're building this, so this is validating in the open, not a neutral question.

We're building Change Trail, a Jira app that turns change history into a clean "what changed in this release" report : status moves, approvals, who owned what, with an optional view that maps it to SOC 2 / ISO for audit prep.

Before building further, I'd really value a gut check from people who live in Jira:

  • Is pulling together "what changed" across a release (for release notes, retros, or an audit) actually painful for you today, or does native Jira cover it?
  • What do you use now : native history/audit log, a Marketplace app, spreadsheets, hand-written notes?
  • If a tool produced that report in one click, what would it be worth to your team per month?

Honest answers welcome, including "this already exists" or "we don't need this." That's exactly what I'm trying to learn. Happy to share an early-access page with anyone who'd find it useful.
