Your Confluence Data Center β Cloud migration is finally done.
The pages are there. The content is there.
Then someone opens an old architecture page and it shows:
βError loading the extension!?β
If you used PlantUML for Confluence on Data Center, you may have encountered this after migration.
The page made it to Cloud. The legacy PlantUML macro didn't make the transition cleanly.
And if you have hundreds of pages with diagrams, finding them one by one can quickly become another migration task.
Why does this happen?
Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant (CCMA) helps move Confluence content from Data Center to Cloud. Marketplace app migration, however, depends on the migration support provided by each app vendor.
CCMA doesn't generically convert one Marketplace app's macro into another Cloud app's macro.
So migrated pages can still contain legacy PlantUML macros that don't render properly in Confluence Cloud.
That's where PlantUML - Migrate from Data Center comes in.
π§ Built from a real migration problem
We saw the same problem more than once.
A few enterprise customers reached out to RVS Softek while planning their PlantUML migration from Data Center to Cloud. They had years of Confluence content and didn't want their teams manually opening pages and fixing diagrams after migration.
That repeated need led us to build PlantUML - Migrate from Data Center , a focused tool for finding and converting legacy PlantUML macros after the move to Cloud.
π Find β π§ͺ Test β π Convert β β
Verify
π Find
Run a site-wide, read-only scan to identify supported plantuml and plantumlrender macros.
π§ͺ Test
Preview the conversion before making any changes. The test run doesn't save page edits.
π Convert
Convert eligible legacy macros to the Cloud PlantUML macro. Affected pages are saved as normal Confluence page versions.
β
Verify
Scan again after conversion. Already-converted pages are skipped, while ambiguous cases are flagged for review.
From broken macro to working diagram

The goal isn't to recreate your diagrams.
It's to get the diagrams you've already migrated working again.
π₯ Who is this for?
This is for Confluence administrators and IT teams who:
If that's your situation, this app was built for you.
Why not fix the pages manually?
If you have three pages, manual editing is easy.
If you have 300, the real problem becomes:
βWhere are all the affected pages?β
PlantUML - Migrate from Data Center gives you a repeatable way to find them, preview the conversion, convert eligible macros, and check the result.
No blind bulk editing. No page-by-page hunting.
One migration problem. One focused solution.
This isn't another general-purpose diagramming tool.
PlantUML β Migrate from Data Center by RVS Softek focuses on one specific use case:
Repairing legacy PlantUML macros after a Confluence Data Center β Cloud migration.
π Finished your migration? Check your PlantUML pages.
If you're seeing broken PlantUML diagrams after moving to Cloud, scan first.
