What is Carousel and how to use it in Confluence?

✨ Let's enhance our Confluence content with Carousels for better readability and navigation.

Break up long, text-heavy Confluence pages for improved user experience and information retention. Carousels are an effective tool for achieving this.

📖 In this guide, we’ll talk through:

  • What is Carousel?
  • How to add the Carousel macro in Confluence
  • How to customize and configure your Carousel

What is Carousel?

The Carousel macro allows you to create a visually appealing and interactive image slider on your Confluence pages.

Thanks @Anwesha Pan (TCS)

Will share this with our HR team as they're experimenting with Company Hub to make it their own... and I spotted a carousel on the top of the page.

Shame the macro is only available on Premium and Enterprise.

This is a really clear and practical walkthrough, @Anwesha Pan (TCS)  — thanks for sharing!

I haven’t tried the Carousel macro yet, but I can see how it could make long Confluence pages feel more dynamic and engaging, especially for showcasing multiple related links or visuals in a small space.

Hi @Kristian Klima yes unfortunately it's only available on Premium and Enterprise.

But I hope your HR team is able to make it available for you as well so that you are also able to use it and enhance your Confluence page! ✨

Hi @Mia Tamm _Simpleasyty_ 👋

Thank you so much for taking your time and going through this article. 😊 And I really appreciate your feedback. I hope you get to use this macro and experiment with the look and feel of your Confluence pages

Hi everyone!

Carousel is 100% a great way to make Confluence pages more visual and user-friendly.

Just a note for anyone looking for the same experience on Data Center — the Handy Macros for Confluence app includes a Handy Carousel macro. It’s more flexible than the native Cloud version, gives you unlimited slides, layout controls, works in exports, and comes as part of a bigger toolkit (statuses, cards, buttons, etc).

Perfect when you want to build richer, interactive Confluence pages on DC.

Cheers,

Veronika from Stiltsoft
