One Cloud home for RTM DC and TestFLO DC: here's what's coming

Hey everyone,

If you're running either RTM or TestFLO on Data Center, this update is for you. Whichever one you're on today, the road to Cloud leads to the same place: RTM Cloud.

Why we're bringing both together

RTM and TestFLO have always solved the same core problem for teams: requirements and test management inside Jira. Historically, that meant two separate products with two separate paths forward. Going forward, RTM Cloud is that path for both. It's the cloud home for TestFLO DC users as much as it is for RTM DC users, built to carry over what you already rely on and add a fair bit more on top.

What's already available

Both migrators are live. TestFLO DC customers have a dedicated migration path to RTM Cloud, with their setup, including Test Case Templates, Test Plans, Requirements, Defects, preconditions repositories, tree structures, and project configuration, automatically mapped into the RTM Cloud structure.

RTM DC customers now have the same option, with their requirements, test cases, test plans, executions, and defects moving right along with them.

Either way, the migration happens as part of your regular Jira Cloud migration through the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA). No scripts or manual re-entry is needed.

Why RTM Cloud is worth landing on

Wherever you're coming from, RTM Cloud has grown well past feature parity with either Data Center version. A few things you'll find there that neither DC product has:

  • CSV export for test cases and requirements

  • PDF export for test executions

  • JSON-based import of folder structures into the app tree

  • Test Execution Summary reports

  • Automated test management support

  • CSV import/export for issues

  • Baselines

  • Creating Test Cases with AI

  • RTM MCP Server for AI

Reports like Traceability, Coverage, Test Case Execution, and Test Execution work the same as you're used to, so nothing gets lost there either.

Coming from a different tool entirely?

If your team isn't on RTM or TestFLO but is currently using another test management app, moving to RTM Cloud is still a realistic option. We offer dedicated migration scripts to help bring over your historical data, along with hands-on support during implementation and migration, so you're not left figuring it out solo.

It's also worth a look on cost alone. RTM for Jira Cloud runs 50 to 180% cheaper than comparable tools on the market, so switching tends to pay for itself quickly, migration effort aside.

Help us prioritize what's next

As more teams from both sides make the move, we want to focus on what matters most to you. If you've got 3 minutes, we'd love your input: Share your feedback →
