New in Read & Confirm : assignment notifications and configurable deadline reminders

Hi everyone,

We've just shipped two of the most-requested features for Read & Confirm for Confluence — assignment notifications and configurable deadline reminders. Both stay entirely within your Atlassian environment.

1. Assignment notifications When you create a confirmation request — or add users to an existing one — assignees are now mentioned in a footer comment on the page. They receive it through their normal Confluence channels (email, in-app inbox), respecting their existing notification preferences. No new settings to configure, no extra inbox to monitor.

2. Configurable deadline reminders Each request supports two reminder slots, defaulting to 7 days and 1 day before the deadline. From the request detail page, the creator can:

• Edit the timing (1–365 days before the deadline)
• Disable either slot
• Reset an already-sent reminder to fire again — useful when a page has been updated and you want to re-notify pending reviewers

Reminders go out as a single footer comment per request that mentions everyone still pending, so a 10-person review doesn't flood the comment thread.

Why footer comments + mention

We chose this deliberately over building a separate notification channel:

• Users already trust mentions — mute, follow, and email rules all work as-i
• Built on Forge Storage — no data leaves your Atlassian environment
