Managing multiple projects, epics, and dependencies in Jira just got a whole lot easier. We’re thrilled to announce the official launch of Portfolio by HeroCoders — a powerful evolution of the Epics Map app, now rebuilt as a full-featured Jira Portfolio Management and Team Capacity solution.
When we first built Epics Map, our goal was to simplify project tracking by bringing visibility to your Jira hierarchies. Your feedback told us we were on the right path—but also that you wanted more: more control, more visibility, and a more holistic view of your work in Jira.
Portfolio delivers just that. It builds on the strengths of Epics Map and expands them into a complete project portfolio management (PPM) and resource capacity solution, all within the comfort of Jira.
Whether you’re scaling a small team or wrangling a multi-department program, Portfolio by HeroCoders helps product owners, program leads, project managers, and teams visualize and manage their work in Jira. Here's how it works:
Bring full visibility to the entirety of your work in Jira. Whether you’re juggling resources to prevent bottlenecks, mitigating risks, or sharing the big picture with stakeholders, Portfolio surfaces real-time insights so you can make decisions quickly and confidently. View your portfolio as an interactive table, pie chart, graph or tree map.
Create tailored views and share them live with anyone—from team leads to executives. Keeping everyone on the same page has never been easier with live-sharing and customizable exports.
Capacity alerts, delivery alerts, and progress bars for parent items, make it easy to identify when deliverables are at risk. You’ll love being able to spot trouble early enough to make the needed adjustments.
Enjoy drag-and-drop timelines, inline editing, and flexible layouts that move with your teams so you can adapt your plans as work evolves without losing momentum.
Track estimates and resource use in a centralized view for better forecasting, stronger accountability, and a more sustainable workload.
Portfolio is built on Atlassian’s Forge platform, ensuring the highest standards for security and performance. You don’t have to worry about syncing external tools or managing complex integrations—it just works, inside Jira.
If you’ve been using Epics Map, then you can unlock loads of new features with a few simple clicks:
Go to admin.atlassian.com/billing. Select your billing account if you have more than one.
Select Connect Apps from the side navigation.
Scroll down to Portfolio by HeroCoders and click View app details
Click on the Paid update button in the upper, right corner.
If you’ve never used Epics Map but struggled to get the picture of your work in Jira, now’s the perfect time to explore what Portfolio can do for you.
