If you need to share Jira dashboards with stakeholders who don't have Jira access, there's now a native way to do it with Custom Charts for Jira.
What it does
Custom Charts just released Public Shared Dashboards. You generate a secure link for any dashboard – public or passcode-protected – and share it. Recipients view real-time Jira data in their browser. No login, no license required.
How to set it up
Admin controls
External sharing stays governed at the organization level. Admins decide who in the org can publish externally, whether passcodes are required, and can revoke access at any time, giving teams control over what is shared while keeping the underlying Jira data protected
Where this is useful
The use cases that come up most: weekly client status updates without rebuilding slides, executive reporting for leadership who want current numbers without a Jira seat, and partner dashboards for joint initiatives.
External viewers are read-only – they can see everything on the dashboard but can't edit anything.
