Efficient management relies on data-driven decision-making, which depends on reliable reports. As a project manager, you likely face multiple daily challenges requiring prompt, informed decision-making. In this regard, we offer you a set of time reports that can be particularly useful in your daily work. I want to show you how some of Time in Status for Jira Cloud reports can help you.
Today I want to tell you about 3 reports and show how easy they can be visualized in Time in Status for Jira Cloud.
Time in Status report
This report shows how long the issue has spent in each workflow status
The time in status data that is displayed on the grid calculates in such a way:
For example, the task was in the To-Do status for 6 hours, then moved to the In Progress status. After a while, the task returned to the To-Do status and stayed there for 2 hours until it moved to another status. So the time in the To-Do status for this task is 8 hours.
The report calculation in the Charts view occurs during the chosen period. It counts the total time of the sample tasks in statuses. For example, on the 24th of May, 3 tasks out of 4 were in To-Do status for 1h, 2h, 3h. Thatβs why the time in the To-Do status for the 24th of May is 1h + 2h + 3h = 6h
Assignee time report
The Assignee time report shows the total time a particular assignee has been working on the issue. Thatβs why itβs especially useful for identifying who is responsible for the workflow delays. It shows which assignee has been solving the task longer than it might be necessary.
The report calculation in the Charts view occurs during the chosen period. It counts the total time the sample of tasks has spent with the Assignee.
As a result, you'll get one column with summed data from your previously selected columns.
Status Entrance Date report
The Status Entrance Date report shows the date an issue has moved to a particular status.
Get dates when the issue has entered each of the statuses on the grid as itβs shown below.
On the chart, it shows the number of tasks that have entered a status on a certain date - for example, 1 task out of 5 tasks has entered the Progress status for the first time on the 23-rd of May.
Export: How to export time in status reports?
Data from the main grid can be exported to XLSX or CSV files, which you can then examine with programs like Excel or Google Spreadsheets.
You can also extract your custom Pivot Table reports to Excel or PDF files, and Chart reports as PNG, JPEG, PDF, or SVG files.
