Workflow Conditions and Validators are often essential components of efficient day-to-day operations. Each serves a specific purpose and enforces particular requirements within a workflow.
With Validators, users receive clear feedback explaining why a transition cannot be executed. Conditions typically work behind the scenes - if a condition is not met, the transition simply remains hidden. As a result, users are often left guessing why a particular transition is unavailable.
In many cases, this behavior is intentional and supports security or process governance requirements. However, it can also be frustrating for agents who work across multiple spaces and workflows, each with its own set of conditions.
Remembering every specific for every transition is often unrealistic, especially in complex environments.
🛟 To address this challenge, the Deviniti Workflow Building Blocks app provides not only the ability to create custom Conditions and Validators, but also an optional Conditions Help panel.
This feature can be made available to selected project roles and provides visibility into the requirements that must be fulfilled before a hidden transition becomes available.
🔒Thanks to access management, transitions that need to remain hidden and whose details should be accessible only to specific roles can stay fully protected, ensuring sensitive workflow logic remains secure while guiding those who need it.
💁♀️By guiding users toward the missing information or unmet criteria, we can reduce confusion and back-and-forth, improve workflow transparency, and save time during issue resolution.
