Which PM job will you off-load to AI first?

According to Sequoia: “In 2025, AI gets the real work done.”

PMs wear a dozen of hats—market analyst, PRD writer, Jira janitor, launch hype‑master, stakeholder manager, therapist… the list keeps growing.

If AI could nail just one of those jobs at 99% quality, which one are you off‑loading and why?

I’d happily offload the “launch hype‑master” hat. It’s fun, but tailoring updates for different teams is a massive time sink. That’s actually what led us to build FastDoc.

Docs from Jira → AI-generated first draft → quick edit → ship. Works surprisingly well—as long as your Jira’s in good shape.

PRDs or market research? Still holding onto those. I’m testing a POC for market research, but there’s too much nuance for full automation. And yeah, I still prefer my therapist to be a real human—ideally one who’s been through a few fire drills too 😅

Thank you everybody who responded. Here are the results: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/activity-7320804896184639488-oK_Q/

However, I realized that I fell into my own trap.

What I did was the exact reason AI products fail. I asked the wrong question.

I fell into the same trap many PMs do when building products:
I asked about the solution, not the problem.

Instead of:
“What should AI do for PMs?”

I should’ve asked:
“What do PMs hate doing the most?”

Because that’s where the truth is and where adoption starts.

Not with what AI can do well, but with what humans don’t want to do at all.

This was an important reminder for me as a founder and a PM.

New poll coming. This time, I’ll get it right 🙂
