Plans new Filter View

Hi

There has been a new update to our filters in plans. 

Previously we had a 'Details' field where if you filled it then it removed all the work items that did not match.

However, with the new update, it seems that is gone and I can only see 'Work Item Contains' which more acts like a 'find' but that does not remove all unwanted work items. Has anyone a workaround or experienced this?

Its really frustrating and the update shows as an experiment - Would prefer to turn it off tbh

This issue is a part of Atlassian's A/B experiment for the new Filter experience in Advanced Roadmaps (Plans) rolled out in this November 2025. This is designed to be faster but quite a few teams find it less convenient because it acts more like a global search than a structured filter. 

But it's an opt-in experiment for some sites—Atlassian is testing feedback before full rollout. With that said, Atlassian is collecting feedback and upvote & watch JRACLOUD-82341 ("Improve Plans filter to support field-based filtering again").
