Auto-schedule successive tasks in Plan View

We are utilizing Advanced Roadmaps to visualize a project structure where the following issues are in place:

• Initiative (the project itself)
  • Epics (stages or phases of the project)
    • Tasks (tasks within each stage or phase)
      • Sub-tasks (sub-tasks within each task)
  • Epics (stages or phases of the project)
    • Tasks (tasks within each stage or phase)
      • Sub-tasks (sub-tasks within each task)
  • Epics (stages or phases of the project)
    • Tasks (tasks within each stage or phase)
      • Sub-tasks (sub-tasks within each task)

We are running into an issue and experiencing a lot of manual work when a task in a phase is delayed. When this happens, the dates are pushed out on the task (start date / due date where applicable), but then our PMs have to do the same for each successive task / sub-task, phase, and so on, due to the one delayed task...

Is there a way to automatically move all successive tasks out based on a move of one of the prior tasks?

Any guidance or suggestions on how this has been accomplished are greatly appreciated!

I don't work with Advanced Roadmaps, but based on the documentation it seems like you could use the Autoschedule feature for this, if you have set subsequent phase Tasks to be dependent on predecessor phase tasks, and you have estimated the effort on all Tasks.

I see in this post that users noted there were problems with this feature if Tasks without estimation values were included.

Thanks, @Trudy ClaspillI'll dig into the resources provided. Ultimately we're looking for auto-scheduling of waterfall projects, so perhaps estimates are the missing link.
