"Improved" interface greys out all data. Can't change back. HELP!!!!!!

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
The new "improved" interface for Portfolio for Jira shows grey field instead of the data. I tried converting an old functioning plan to the new interface and that got greyed out too. I'm trying to go back to the old interface under Configure. I see the button but nothing happens when I click on it. This is a disaster. Please help!!!!!
Happens in both Edge and Chrome browsers.
Everything looks like this. Even older projects that were working fine.
