Sub-Task not visible in Portfolio 3.9

Hello,
I am using Portfolio 3.9 with the classic view. In my portfolio hierarchy configuration subtasks are properly defined. But I am unable to see sub-tasks of stories nor can I select it in the hierarchy selection.
How can I make subtasks usable?
