Portfolio: Disable calculation-function

I´d like to use the JIRA add-on portfolio for structured creation of initiatives, epics and stories or a roadmap for epics. I would like to use the earliest start field and the release dates to plan a fixed start and end of an epic. Unfortunately the calculation function basing on member working hours and estimated days forces me to do a detailed planed. As I user who just wants to a general planning this function makes it unintresting to use portfolio. 

Is it possible to turn of the calculation of end dates basing on working hours and estimated work? Would you mind adding this function?

You could turn the recalculation setting to manual and then simply never press the recalculate button?

Hi Ryan,

thanks for your swift reply. I also thought on your mentioned Option, but it´s risky. Once pressed the button would destroy all the planning. I would appreciate a more secure possibility to avoid the calculation.

Other ideas?
