How does Jira Plans work in "Ranking" items

Hi all, I have a user who uses Advanced Roadmap/Plans, they have their dev teams rank the stories based on importance/priority within advanced Roadmaps/Plans just by dragging the story up or down.

But when the Team Lead checks the same plan, that movement isn't displayed to them, they only see the default view.

Do you need to change the story ranking in plans, save it to the view and then everyones plans align in order?

Have your team lead go into the View settings, and make sure they're sorting by Ranking (default). If they sort by another value, it overrules the rankings.
