Dependency lozenges don't turn red

I have two issues setup with dependencies like this (so here, they are "out of order"):

You can see that Portfolio agrees because when I click on the top one it shows a negative lead time:

However, you can see that the handles are not red. This makes it really hard to see when something is out of wack.

In a tutorial, I saw that they can indeed turn red:

How do I make them turn red?
