Let's say you have a project plan and none of the issues have estimates. Is it possible to visualise progress using Portfolio for JIRA or are estimates required?
If it is possible, how can we do this?
Is it possible to see/visualise the number stories completed within an epic/feature or another level of abstraction (e.g. inititative) in Portfolio for JIRA? That is, the metric I'd like to visualise is the number of issues completed within a parent issue.
The fact that this is literally how releases are measured/visually represented only exacerbates how odd it is to assert that estimates are the only way measurement of progress can be made available in JIRA Portfolio.
Hi Gerry,
Do you consider other add-ons as a help for this problem? We have customers using Portfolio together with Structure for measurements and visualization.
A hierarchy in Structure can be built automatically based on a Portfolio plan, and then you can use highly configurable Progress column or formula-based calculations in Structure to get the number you need.
Cheers,
Igor
