Hi Jira is a powerful project management tool that offers a wide range of features and capabilities. However, sometimes i may need additional functionality to enhance the workflow and improve productivity.

There are many plugins available for Jira, each offering different features and capabilities. with so many plugins available for Jira, can you suggest some that you find useful and I should try?

I can recommend the Jira Workflow Toolbox. There you can do unlimited customization of workflows without having to code. Plenty of things are already available in the library in advance.

And if you need reporting of all workflows or an excellent project overview in Jira, then I recommend the Admin Toolbox for Jira.

Everyone using Jira should make sure they become and stay compliant to the various data protection regulations out there: GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA and so on. To do that I would recommend the Data Protection and Security Toolkit.

Also, the more you work in Jira, the more important it becomes to make sense of all this data that is generated every day. When it comes to reporting, Report Builder offers a super flexible framework to create reports that are not possible with other apps.

Disclaimer: I work for Actonic, the vendor developing these apps. Just so that you know.

If you want to know more about any of our apps, feel free to book a demo. Thanks! :)

Hi @Janakiraman S ,

Personally, I prefer Jira Misc Workflow extension and Jira suite utilities and both plugins are from the same vendors and provides very good in-built validators, conditions and post functions and also provides an option to create your own custom validators.

Have personally worked with Jira Miscellaneous Workflow Extensions and found it very good. Allows using Groovy scripts in Workflows. Also the support is very fast. Rest depends on your use case.

Hi @Teresa_DevSamurai

Thanks for bringing up this discussion topic! With this amount of apps on Marketplace, it's a challenge to find ones that would be perfect for your case scenario.

I'm adding +1 vote for JSU Automation Suite and Jira Misc Workflow Extensions, mentioned above. And would be happy to add my favs to the list.

If we talk about workflows and productivity plugins, I would recommend these two:

Disc: I currently work for the developer and vendor of these apps, but I had found them useful even before I started working here.

Swanly for roadmap planning and reporting in Jira Cloud.
It helps a lot with visibility thanks to cross-project roadmaps, timelines, and reporting. Perfect for cross-project releases and project portfolio management.
It's a less pricey alternative to Jira advanced roadmaps 🙂

And Foxly app for improved productivity.
It's great for automatized backlog prioritization and backlog refinement meetings with the team. The plugin comes with built-in planning poker, and we have recently released the async poker version.
You can read more about agile estimation with async poker in my latest community post.

Hope, it's helpful!
