I have been recording all work instructions, inspection reports, and daily scheduling within excel for over a decade.
Trying to find another format or system that's working for you and your company.
I think the work instruction format is working fine.
Looking to remove inspection reports and add the applicable data to the schedule so everything is on one location. Also need to include a module that tracks supplier follow-up to non-conformances.

At it's heart, Jira is an issue tracker, and an issue can represent anything you think of as a "work item".
It's quite likely that you can translate your excel data straight into Jira, each row being an issue and columns becoming fields.
