Hey Tiffany, it looks like there may be some confusion on your post or miscommunication that guided you here.  This is a community of experts, end-users & everything in-between for the suite of Atlassian software products.  Plenty of folks here are great resources to answer specific questions you might have about using software like Jira that you may have been tasked with learning, but we won't have the context needed to answer questions specific to your role.  If you're looking for options on getting started check out the "Learning" tab at the top of the screen, there are a lot of options there for understanding the basics.  Hope this helps a little and good luck in your new role!
