WIP Wednesday - "The Phantom Kudos"
It's once again Wednesday, my dudes!
I am happy to report that I managed to knock out another kudos badge over the last two weeks. I had to go on business trip last week (Florida up to Virginia) but I managed to get quite a bit of cross-stitching done on the plane.
I also tweaked several of my patterns to make them all uniform in size and shape... which makes the perfectionist in me quite happy.
Despite the "Friday Fun" badge being at the top of my "To-Do" pile for about a month now, I was once again distracted and instead did the "Article Writer" badge.
One of the big things I changed in my cross-stitching technique this go around was how much thread I used. In most cross-stitch patterns, you are supposed to use two strands of thread at a time to do the "x's" and then use one thread to do outlines. I recently showed my mom the cross-stitch pieces I finished and she recommended that I try using three strands to make the color pop more and not have as much of the Aida cloth show through. I followed her suggestion and I liked how it turned out! What do you guys think? :)
