Community Round-up: July 2021

Greetings fellow Community Members!

In my part of the world, it's the middle of summer and the weather is nice and hot!  I hope you are enjoying the weather wherever you happen to be.

There is no shortage of amazing things to discuss so let’s dive right in!

• First up, is the 🍉 HAPPY JIRA JULY! post. This has a collection of things that were going on including Jira Admin Appreciation Day on July 15th, did you remember to celebrate?

• Next, the Community release notes for July 6, 2021 it’s always worth pointing out.  The wonderful Community team is continuing to do great things to make our day-to-day experiences better!

• Have you been itching to join a new group on the Community? Then look not further.  The Teamwork lab is now looking for people to join.👩🏻‍🔬New Group alert: Introducing the Teamwork Lab!

• Last month, the University team unveiled their new training platform. This month we now have the details about the new top credential “Atlassian Certified Expert“ and what is required to get there.  Atlassian Certified Expert: Introducing our new name and path for our top-level credential

• There is a new series of webinars starting in August all about Confluence. If you have been looking for more ways to make your pages great, you should consider signing up!  Introducing Collaboratory: A Confluence Webinar Series

• The Atlassian Forge developer challenge Codegeist returns in 2021. If you have a great idea for an Atlassian Forge App, you should consider signing up today (I know I do so stay tuned for an article from me when it's finished)!  Codegeist 2021 is here!

• The Jira Software team has introduced insights for Jira Software Cloud. I have personally used this feature and it’s really cool to see how it gives you some predictions about upcoming sprint commitments based on your previous work as well as much more!  Introducing insights for Jira Software Cloud

• @Darryl Lee has written some fantastic “insights” to Tidying Up Jira if your Jira instance is due for a spring cleaning (I know mine is).  It is worth learning from his experiences.

• Speaking of learning from experience, @Rachel Wright has another fantastic post, this time on How to Prepare and Validate your Jira Test Instance after Changes or Migration.

• Generating a Python REST Client for Jira Cloud is one of those things that I never knew I wanted a tutorial on until I read this article. If tinkering with the REST APIs gets you excited you will definitely want to check out this article.

• @Daniel Ebers has a great showcase of a gardening Trello template for all of the “green thumbs” out there.  A small template shared with the world for those who love gardening and flowers

• Finally, because Bamboo holds a special place in my heart. The Bamboo team has announced the Bamboo Data Center - Early Access Program 2. If you want to get in and try things out ahead of time, you should sign up today!
