Three wishes...

Hi everyone,

yesterday, perhaps in the spirit of Christmas, Atlassian fulfilled a significant wish of mine: Confluence automations for everyone.

In addition to this, I have two more wishes:

• JSM Assets for everyone

• The ability to disable the creation of new products for managed accounts

What about you? What are your three wishes? Perhaps if we wish together, our dreams will come true...

Without even looking at them, I would say implement the 3 JAC tickets with the most votes. I don't care of they help me that much directly or not, but I know THOUSANDS will benefit!!

Thanks for the prompt!  My three would be:

1. Product Management and Engineering could invest the time and analysis to finally clean up the entire public backlog, consolidating duplicates, and honestly closing suggestions / defects in a timely manner which Atlassian never plans to address
2. Reverse the packaging changes for Jira Automation usage to instead maintain separate limits for global / multiple project-scope rules, and implement a new limit for project-scope usage.  This would mitigate the infrastructure impacts / costs from the old model of unlimited usage while still incentivizing the usage of automation, driving customers to higher license levels, as needed for different customer sites.
3. Implement user-configurable reporting / charting at all license levels, rather than reducing dashboard gadgets support and adding less useful, low-impact charts / reports imbedded in projects where they cannot be readily viewed, consolidated, shared, etc. (and apparently increasing use of the Atlassian Marketplace to drive revenue streams)

I'm not sure if I were granted 3 wishes these types of things would rank in my top three.  However,

My top wish would be a way to lock my cloud instances to an LTS version.  As a cloud admin, it would be so nice to not have to worry about what I am walking into each morning when Atlassian makes a 'minor' change and all the users are up in arms.

@Shawn Doyle - ReleaseTEAM I feel you. Sometimes even bundled release tracks are not enough. I prepare Atlassian news for my team and I need to invest a lot of time to keep in touch what's happening.

Now I kind of wish I hadn't stopped paying attention to the Automation features, since I was never going to have Premium. 😢

My greatest Confluence Cloud wish is to be able to insert a file that is already attached to a page (current or otherwise) in my space. There's no need to have multiple copies of the same image attached to different pages—a nightmare when you modify an image or other file.

Thank you Barbara. Nothing Atlassian has done per se. It's others connected to my Idol. And you know what I know better so why blame him for others' actions. Technically I'm partly to blame which I already knew. Thank you for the lesson. You guys seem to have a great Boss. A great workplace is hard to find especially in Sydney. You must be great if you work there. You know what why leave 1 community when you can have 2. 👍I'm back baby. Hope you didn't miss me. 😆
