Hi Atlassian Community!
Happy Monday☀️
Monday blues got you down? Fear not, my fellow workweek warriors! Let's dive into the world of quirky dreams to lift those spirits.
Scientifically speaking, dreams come from the subconscious part of the brain. We all know how fantastic the human brain is and definitely, we all have some crazy dreams which we remember for a lifetime.
Let’s kick off our Monday by sharing the weirdest dream you had. Laughter is the best medicine, especially when it involves intergalactic office meetings or brainstorming with penguins.
I’ll start this by sharing my weirdest yet funniest dream: I once dreamt that my cat was teaching me salsa. We danced in the living room, and he judged my moves with a purr. Never would've thought my cat was a dance guru in my dreams.😂😂
So, Atlassian pals, let's swiftly turn those Monday blues into a dreamy escape. Embrace the bizarre, share a laugh, and make your workweek a whimsical adventure!
Hey @Hind Kadiri From Jaanga that's a good one! Wishing you a laughter-filled week too. Here's to spreading those positive vibes together!✌️
Great topic @Ananjan_Mishra!
I think the weirdest dream I have had is less about the contents of the dream itself and more about the fact that it has been a reoccurring dream throughout my life.
I'm playing in a vine entangled tree house in the middle of a wooded/jungle like environment. I have never visited anything like this. If I concentrate I can remember very vivid details about the appearance of it, and I'm consciously (or I think I am) aware when I return to the same location.
Now, as much as I can describe how things looked in great detail, I can't remember if anyone else was there, or what I was doing beyond looking around and observing things.
It's one of those that really makes me wonder about what goes on when you are sleeping.
Have a great weekend everyone!
@Jimmy Seddon totally get you on this one! there are those moments when you're so into a dream, and then bam, you wake up. 😅
Great topic! I don't often remember my dreams, but have enjoyed reading everyone else's!
Likewise for me. Never seem to remember mine.
Yet this is one nice thread to read about other's dreams. :)
I've had plenty of weird dreams in my life, some of them are recurring themes. However, the latest weird dream I had was that I was a librarian back at the library in the town I grew up in. I have not stepped foot in that library for close to thirty years, but in my dream it was a vivid reconstruct of exactly how it was in the 1990's when I was in high school and the library (as opposed to a computer or phone) is where we went to study or research. I tried going back to sleep when I woke up just to immerse myself back in the virtual reality I was experiencing.
Now that I had 1,5 weeks to think about it, I am still not ready to share details on any of my recent dreams. They are just the most random combinations of people, places and events that even I cannot comprehend most of it.
As a child I used to have dreams (or rather nightmares) of vampires - again, in different settings and scenarios. So much so, that when Twilight came out, I wasn't gonna watch it. Until I got wind of the fact that these particular vampires sparkled in the sun! :D Not had any Vampire dreams since.
Hi, @Ananjan_Mishra , thanks for topic!
Although we now laugh a lot about this dream my husband used to have when he was a little boy, then it used to be a pretty frightening nightmare for him. My daughter still frequently teases her father in jest about this dream.
In this dream, he found himself embarking on a solo adventure to the zoo, his tiny legs pedaling furiously on his small tricycle. But as he reached the entrance, the serenity of the zoo transformed into chaos when all the cages began to open automatically, unleashing a menagerie of wild animals into the open! Panic surged through him as he desperately tried to outpace a hungry lion, its eyes fixed on him with predatory intent! With each revolution of his trike's wheels, he weaved through the zoo's pathways, his heart pounding in his chest! He knew all he had to do to escape his predicament was find a particular bridge! Just when it seemed like the lion would pounce, he reached his destination narrow bridge, crossing it in the nick of time, leaving his feline pursuer behind! And with a jolt, he would awaken, the remnants of the dream fading away as he greeted the morning light, yet the thrill of his nocturnal escapade lingering long after.
Often looking back, even embarrassed moments can add much-needed refreshment to deep family bonds.
@ABRnow that's quite the spooky dream! I absolutely agree that embarrassing moments can lighten up the atmosphere and make things more enjoyable.
