×Happy Monday all!
I have been traveling around this week, and I was able to take a train ride through one of the most beautiful cities in California - Santa Cruz!
Fall is one of my absolute favorite seasons, and it's easy to see why with views like this:
I'm lucky to live somewhere that has such beautiful places to visit in a (relatively) short amount of time. California has beaches to the west, mountains from coast to coast, and stretches of gorgeous agricultural land in between.
While I love vacationing abroad, my heart belongs here and I never cease to be amazed by what can be found near or far.
I would love it if you would share some of your favorite vacationing destinations, especially my friends from overseas - are you a stay-cationer like me or do you enjoy more wordly adventuring?

Was so much fun to meet everyone in person. Absolutely stunning photo @Leslie Lee!
Oh wow, enough to make anyone break out with singing "Climb Every Mountain"!
I spent a few weeks in Mallorca, Spain last summer and was so in love with it! I could easily vacation there all the time. The warm water, the great food, the lively cities, siesta culture. It's magical 😍
@BiancaE that looks so incredibly relaxing. I've lived on the west coast of the US my whole life, and have never seen water that blue or that warm.
@Meg Holbrook I'm a California girl, too, and these Mediterranean beaches totally win.
@BiancaE I forgot you mentioned that before! I have never left the country. I feel so sheltered! I have a friend who is a travel agent and she goes all over and makes fun of me for living in my bubble.
Every New Year I take the family to Franschhoek , South Africa for a couple of weeks. Such a relaxed and eventful location for anyone.
Franschhoek is known for its wineries, I especially love Grande Provence as it not only is an incredible winery, but an art gallery as well.
That's a beautiful photo @[deleted]. Reminds me very much of the Napa Valley here in California. What is the weather like there? I assume it's pretty temperate since they grow grapes (which are a very sensitive crop).
This is a timely post for me as I am on an extended vacation in Ocracoke Island North Carolina. I have been coming here every few years for nearly half a century. It is a place to unwind, chat with friendly people and catch/eat wonderfully fresh seafood.
Gorgeous @Jack Brickey! I hope you're enjoying your vacation and thank you very much for stopping by while you're relaxing :)
Hey, you forgot to send a picture of your champ hat at the ferry!
these pictures are stunning, @Jack Brickey!!
One of my favourite places for vacation is the area around Hvide Sande, Denmark.
I love the overcast photos of the beach @Bastian Stehmann. Give me clouds and a cool breeze and I'm a happy girl. Thank you so much for sharing ^_^
I think Montreal's top of mind for me because: 1) I was just there; and 2) the people were so, so authentically nice. Greece is at the top of my to-do list. 😎
@Community Manager - Beautiful photos as always, the rooftop is particularly wonderful.
San Antonio, TX has always been, and will always be, my favorite place to visit. I grew up going there every year as a kid... and it's as amazing as I remembered it. I love how busy it is cause it's a big city, and there's always something to do. I love that you can walk anywhere. I love that you walk along the river, and even tho it's busy at the same time it's very peaceful and beautiful. I would love to live right off the riverwalk.
Love this post! Looking back at my vacations over the years I think my favourite was Mexico. I was doing a Gratitude Blog that month, and it seemed that I was a sponge with all my five senses and soaked up every moment.
This was my favourite day:
