It's summer which means time for travel and good times - so here is goes, my first Watercooler discussion 😆
I don’t listen to music much on a daily basis, but I love going to concerts. There is something about live music where the performers connect with the audience and you get to hear their true voice and witness their true talent. I’ve been to a few concerts in the past like Celine Dion, Bon Jovi, Madonna, Queen featuring Adam Lambert and more.
Last weekend was a highlight for me as I went to Belgium to see Pink live at Werchter Boutique!! Pink is one of my favorites and I’ve wanted to see her live for a long time, knowing what an amazing performer she is….. And OMG! She is a star 🤩
Pink was the main act at Werchter Boutique but it also featured artists like Ellie Goulding, OneRepublic and more. Pink lived up to all my expectations and more but I was also very pleasantly surprised by OneRepublic. I knew some of their songs, but didn’t really know them or know that the lead singer, Ryan Tedder, is also a songwriter and has written songs for artists like Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran, U2, Adele and so many more. He took 10 minutes of their stage time and played songs that he has written for others, just him on a piano singing songs that we all know from other artists.
I’ve loved every concert I’ve ever seen and the most recent is always the best. But to rate my favorites I’d have to pick 3 for 3 different reasons;
If I could choose my next artist/band to see live it would be Adele and Beyonce.

Oh, so many stories.
I grew up in Reading, which sometimes hosts a small rock festival within walking distance of my house, and usually policed by people whom I went to school with their relatives, so I got in for free. So...
A great topic.
One of my favorite past times to be honest.
For me it's as much the venue as it is artist.
There are far to many to list a singular top, many memorable all starting in the early 70's and running to the now.
Some going so far back and repeated I'd have to start rating band member change ups.
Black Sabbath -> with Ozzy
Black Sabbath -> with Ronnie
Ozzy -> with Randy Rhoads
Ozzy -> with Jake E Lee
Ozzy -> with Zakk Wylde
Black Sabbath -> with Ozzy again
And that's just one example....
To hard to pick
Great topic.
One of my first concerts and favorites back in the day as a young adult was The Commodores
Happy Friday!!
My favorite one is tomorrow land.
How many times have you been? Which editions?
I love live music and frequently visit the music in the parks we have here in Milwaukee throughout the summer. As far as bigger concerts, I've seen a wide variety over the years. One of my recent favorites was taking my kids to see AJR. They put on such a great show with amazing effects and a bit of a theatrical feel. Plus, there's something special about seeing my kids enjoy live music.
Later this summer, I'm taking my 12-year-old to see Arctic Monkeys which will be a fun little trip for us before school starts up again.
I'm hoping to get to Summerfest next week to see Vance Joy, but otherwise haven't really thought about all-time concert goals. Probably Pink or Adele!
Great topic @Sandra Axelsdottir ,
I've been to all kinds of concerts.
Including a number of times at The Cure.
And I have U2 along with B.B. King seen.
But also Seasick Steve, The Poques and Dutch bands like Fatal Flowers, Urban Dance Squad and Johan.
And don't forget Lagwagon at Booze Cruise Festival in Hamburg.
An impressive and favorite performance was The Black Crowes at Pinkpop Festival .
I would like to see
Rammstein
Nothing but Thieves
and
Eminem
perform.
Greetings from the Netherlands, Marco Brundel
I’ve been to many concerts (Elton John, Roxette, Depeche Mode, Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer…), the one I enjoyed the most was Bryan Adams a few years ago in Prague.
I would like to see Queen with Freddie Mercury live. Adam Lambert is a great singer, but you know - Freddie is Freddie.
Yuka Kitamura Dark Souls 3
Shiro Sagisu Dragon Slayer
hirasawa susumu Sign
Tadayoshi Makino Eternal Return
Keitaro Hanada 任侠狂詩曲
I picked some of my favourite which don't sound too far-oriental except the last one.
Unfortunately I've never seen them since they don't come to my country (or even play a concert) at all. (T_T)
Oh wow, my love of music goes way back! I still revel in my first concert, Tom Petty, in 1979 (Brenda Ferguson, where are you!?!?), but my favorites over the years have been seeing Camper Van Beethoven (power went out, so they did an acoustic set in the dark), Oingo Boingo was a great show, and bands like Van Halen, Yes, Rush, and Ted Nugent were always fantastic to see. But my all time favorite show has to be Tool. I've seen them about a dozen times and it's always an amazing experience to watch them.
I have taken a weird turn in my taste in music over the last decade, listening to a lot of EDM and trip hop music and have grown to love an amazing musician that goes by Bonobo, and was lucky enough to see the band this past year after waiting about 15 years to get a chance.
I wish I could list them all, live music is AMAZING!
@Sandra Axelsdottir great post - had it bookmarked for some quiet time. I know that this list will betray me a bit. But keep in mind all of these were in the early to mid 1990's when I was in High School. Here's a list of the concerts (I can remember). While my musical tastes and lifestyle have changed drastically since then, some of the songs played at these concerts will trigger memories from deep in the recesses of my brain. Bolded were my favorite.
I haven't seen the concert yet. But I am a fan of The Beatles. Here Comes The Sun is a classic song by The Beatles, written by George Harrison. It was released on their 1969 album "Abbey Road". The song is one of Harrison's most famous compositions and is considered one of the Beatles' most beloved songs. The song's popularity spanned the years and it remains a favorite among Beatles fans and me. Do you like The Beatles?
LOVE the Beatles! My dad had Abbey Road on 8-track, it's one of those timeless albums. We wore it out! Recently, my youngest and I were listening to some tracks off Abbey Road not but a few weeks ago, too! All their music has easily stood the test of time.
What concerts have you seen?
What was your favorite?
