Hi everyone! It's Friday now in Mexico :D btw, in two days is Mexican Independence Day so the celebrations are starting since now, VIVA MÉXICO mexican friends!
This friday fun I want to share with you a little story first, two days ago it was supposed to be laundry day and my 10 month old son, Luis Manuel was playing around in the room and near to the laundry basket with the clean clothes, before this scenario I gave him some cheetos to enjoy while seeing TV, so when I go to the next room and return to him, he was in the crime scene standing up in the basket and throwing it all the clean clothes with their little cheeto fingers to the floor :(
I wanted to let out my inner mexican mom instinct and threaten him with a "chancla" (flip flop) in one hand and my mom voice calling him by his all whole name (yes, this is a real thing and it works sometimes), but when he saw me, he just started to laugh and crawling into the clothes, rolling over them so the first thing I did was to laugh too xD How can I get mad with this face?
So I couldn't get mad with him, he is just like me. I like to make little pranks sometimes with/to my coworkers and friends. Sometimes @Andrea Mendez, @Mauricio Cantú and I when we are in an elevator we push all the buttons before getting out of it XD A little prank doesn't hurt anyone.
So tell me friends, Have you made recently a little prank that you want to share with us??
@Davin Studer 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@Davin StuderI love it 😂😂😂😂
My poor husband is the target of ALL my pranks. He's an extremely good sport about it.
My greatest joy in life is jumping out at him from hidden spots all over the house.
I'm going to cause him to have a heart attack someday. Your kiddo is darling, you're right, can't stay mad at that face.
@Davin Studer - we have a similar voicemail here as well for vendor accounts because they call us all. the. time.
Thank you @Meg Holbrook:) and that's a fun one xD My husband is more intense with the pranks that's why we have like a "peace" agreemet between us 😂😂😂😂
My toddler has learnt to prank me. It started with him asking for crackers before he went to bed at night. This seemed harmless enough so we started indulging this new request. We would give him the crackers and he would walk to his room, climb in bed, and lie down to sleep. After a few weeks things started to look like this:
Me: Is it nap time?
Toddler nods, points to the cupboard where the crackers are kept
I give crackers to toddler then walk towards toddler's bedroom
Toddler starts eating crackers in living room
Me: Is it nap time?
Toddler: NOOOOOO!
I realize that all of my coworkers would be escorted out of the building today for any of the pranks we pulled, but...
When I was working a DOS help desk in the late 90's we learned early on that it was a bad idea to walk away from your workstation without locking it first. Does anyone remember back in the day setting up sounds based on keystrokes or other event that were different from the Microsoft standard chimes and beeps? Before it got old I had Homer Simpson saying "Doh!" every time the backspace key was hit, Windows warning pop-ups came with "Danger Will Robinson!" and so on.
One day my team lead set a keyboard event that would increase the volume of my speakers to full, set the monitor to flashing white to pink to black for a few seconds, and play a voice saying "Hey Everybody! I'm watching (NSFW movies) over here! WOOHOO!"
It was rather embarrassing. It took me a while to figure out it was tied to the CRTL-C function.
Karma is real, though, and paybacks are a (pain.)
A few days later I set up her computer to play "Safety Dance" on repeat all day, switched her keyboard from QWERTT to AZERTY, removed the roller ball from her mouse, and then locked her computer.
She used an absent coworker's workstation while she tried to fix it, at he end of the day I put it back to normal.
The ladies will probably appreciate this more than *most* of the men...
I recently got my hands on a box of Buxom lip gloss. This is a "plumping" lip gloss. For those who don't know what plumping is, the theory is that if you irritate the skin (with things like cinnamon, wintergreen, and capsaicin) then they'll swell slightly.
Those who have used plumping lip gloss know that it stings and... I'd almost say buzzes... when you put it on.
So, of course, I put it on and went and kissed my boyfriend. The following five minutes of him being completely confused as to why his lips felt so weird were priceless.
