email notifications not received when a due date is marked as complete.

I don't receive email notifications when a due date is marked as complete.
I am a member of the board, I am watching the board, list and card. 
I receive a email notifications when someone adds a comment.
Does anyone know what could be the issue?

I am on free account as I am testing the software but there is no customer support for free accounts!

Hi Chris, are you doing this using automation or not? 

If you would like to do it through automation, you need to

  1. Open Automations
  2. Select Rules in left sidebar
  3. Create Automation in the top right
  4. Select Trigger - Dates
  5. The second row should start with "when the due date is marked as"
  6. Add that with a blue plus on the right
  7. Select Action - Content
  8. There's a row that starts with "send and email notification"
  9. Fill that out and add with blue plus
  10. Save in the top right

I just tested this out and it works for me. Let me know if you have any issues, please.
