Use Trello Butler as an API between 3rd party tool and Slack, and vice versa

Can I use Trello or Trello Butler to “orchestrate” a sync between a 3rd party app and Slack? I’m even thinking about triggering a super basic action, like creating a card from Slack and vice versa. Given all the permission issues—and let’s not even talk about webhooks because they’re practically dinosaurs now—do you have any other tips or tricks? I just want to keep it simple. I’ve tested every integration and automation tool under the sun, and I’d rather not spend a month having each tiny and benign app reviewed by our slack admins.

Any other suggestions? At the moment, I only have Trello Slack integration (bi-directional) and Butler. I am sure I can, but just wondering if anyone has other thoughts.

The Slack Power Up and Trello for Slack support this kind of functionality. Trello for Slack recently added the ability to create cards from Slack messages.

I would like to know if I can add an integration into Butler like how Slack and Jira can interface with it.

Something like being able to say If my Trello power up does this do that.

@Natasa Sebek what's the other 3rd party app? And how do you see the integration working?
