Unable to log in on Firefox

Hello,

I am unable to log into Trello when on Firefox, and this has been an issue for months. The log in page loads up, I type in my (correct!) email address but when I hit the continue button, it just loads for an eternity and I can never get to the next step of inputting my password.

I have tried a windows-based device and an ubuntu-based device multiple times, and have checked that they both have the latest release - currently 129.0.2.

I have disabled my extensions: privacy badger, disconnect,  adblock plus, but this has not affected my ability to log in (still doesn't load to password screen!)

I have successfully logged in - and created a new account associated to a different email - on Edge. I am unable to log into the new account on Firefox, so it's not an issue with the individual account's details.

Help, please?

(fyi tried to report this as a bug but all roads seem to lead to  https://support.atlassian.com/contact/ and when I fill out that it's a technical issues or bug for Trello, there only options are to look at the documentation or the atlassian community..)

Hi @Livne

You are using a free plan that is probably why you are redirected here to Community to  get assistance. Anyway we would do our best to help you somehow.

Problem looks very odd.. but it seems that is overall related with your Firefox instance. Do you agree? (I mean if you set another account and this is also having problem.. )

Strange is also that you tried on Windows and Linux.. Was it the same machine, on the same network etc? Wondering if there is anything on network (some kind of firewall maybe) that is blocking the requests..

If you go directly to trello.com site and try to log in there.. Could you log in to other Atlassian site (using this account) and simply see if you are logged in? Single Sign on should work and you should be logged in there automatically..

Kia ora @Mirek, thanks for your assistance, and for clarifying :)

Yes, I definitely think it's an issue with Trello not working on Firefox rather than anything to do with my specific devices, just wanted to note ways I had tried to troubleshoot.

The Linux and the Windows devices are different, and I also tried logging in from different physical locations (connected to different wifi networks).

All of my attempts to sign in have been in trying to log in directly through Trello.com

Using Edge and this account, when I log into Trello, if I then open a new tab to Atlassian or to the Atlassian community site, it registers me as logged in automatically, yes.

Same device, same location, Firefox browser: tried logging into id.atlassian.com instead of Trello, issue is the same. Never get to the input password stage.

Hope that test helps in figuring something out?

Ok, thank you @Livne for clarification. That looks then like a very interesting topic. So let's focus then on Firefox itself ...

Could you check which version do you have? I am also curious what would happen if you would create a new fresh Firefox profile

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles

Maybe this would give us som clue.

In addition please check if you are not using any password manager starting from Firefox build in Password Manager

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/features/password-manager/

Maybe it stored you password and bypasses the login screen?
