The Amazing Fields powerup (https://trello.com/power-ups/60e068efb294647187bbe4f5) allows you to create a field that requires a URL and then if you set it, the value shown will be a live URL you can click on.

I now have the url as a clickable action item in a checklist, which will do for now. But a button would be cleaner.
