Hello,
I'm planning to start using Trello in my company where each Trello card will represent a order sheet, with client designs attached to these cards.
I have a couple of questions regarding Trello's limitations:
Thank you in advance for your help!
Regarding 1: There are limits, but they are not 100% specified... You can normally have at least 2-32000 cards, but board with that many cards tend to become slow, so best is to archive cards (still not gone) or move them to archive boards... Never been forced at any point to delete anything to make room for more in the 4 years of using trello
Regarding 2: Yes (never heard of any limits in terms of how long you can keep data)
Thanks, Rasmus!
Yeah, I plan to archive all completed orders weekly, but I wanted to make sure I can still search for old cards in the archive. It feels a bit strange that Atlassian would keep paying for Amazon server storage forever to hold my cards with attachments, but hey, I’m not complaining!

Hey mate, alternatively if you like you can also try using our trello powerup, hidynotes.
We allow a little more permissions, editing features and attachments of all kinds, the information is stored per trello card but on Google Cloud servers worldwide adding an extra layer of security.

@Serigrafia Sestao Sociedad Limitada If search in archive is frequent I would recommend archiving via another board then as that gives the best search experience. The drawback is you loose a bit of the card activity details when moving between boards so experiment what fit best... If you go with another board then remember to have the same people on that board (if not you will loose assignments on cards when you move them to the archive board

Thanks for the extra info, both of you!
I won’t need to search the archive often, just if a client comes back for a repeat order, but I'll keep it in mind. I’ll look into hidynotes, but for now, I think the regular attachments and custom fields should work fine. Appreciate the suggestion, though!
