Good evening,
I'm writing to inquire about the lack of notifications when a deadline for a task within a checklist is met. I have all notifications activated in my app permissions, but I'm not receiving any alerts, neither through the app nor via email.
Is this the expected behavior, or is there a specific setting I need to adjust to receive these notifications?
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Sincerely,
Danny Turato
Hi, Danny.
Yes, this is expected. The action of marking a checklist as completed will not automatically send a notification. However, you could setup some Automation to do that for you: https://help.trello.com/article/1198-an-intro-to-butler
Came here looking for answers just like OP Danny. This answer seems to go against this post from 2022:
In that post it said:
Now, you’ll receive notifications for Advanced Checklists if:
That aside I decided on trying to create a rule; I am not able to find the proper parameters / actions to say "when i an item is checked".
After any such trigger there is no action to A) notify assigned member or B) notify _____ member.
In case B) I would fill in the appropriate member name.
With the fill-in option I would be able to make a rule and duplicate it for each member. While that may not be the best/ideal it would work.
Anyone out there that has made any such rule(s) please advise.

Hi Delroy! You're right about a Premium Subscription with advanced checklists. However, it does not notify you when a checklist is marked as completed.
Regarding the automation, this might be helpful:
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Understood but i have assigned members to checklist items, no email. Assigned a due date, no email. Even added time and told the system notify X hours; still no email notice.
I am working on a few methods that need fine tuning.
EG:
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Delroy,
Automation does support {boardlink} variable: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/automation-variables/.
Regarding the list, where are you specifying it?

Thanks for this was able to make further adjustment to my notifications.

Still want to annoyingly point out that the advanced notifications that were announced do not work.
