Is there any sign of the date picker ever being improved?

Hi,

I was wondering if there has ever been any indication that the date handling facilities of Trello would ever be seeing any changes - for the better as far as I can see.

Specifically, repeats.

The function via a power up is woeful, I think. Yes, you can set a repeat of the card up, via creating the card specifically for the purpose, and have the original live on a separate list somewhere (or archived so you forget there's an 'original' when you want to edit it) and no, you can't set any notification on it.

To work around this, I make the repeater add the card to a named list, which has an automation to send me an email when a new card is added to that list. So I get a notification that I don't need when I'm just moving cards around manually as well. I can probably make an automation to get around this using labels or something too, or write one to generate the card instead of using the power-up, but come on... just add repeat functions to the bloody thing in the first place?

Can't repeating functions be part of the date picker? With due dates and notifications also repeating at the specified times? Is there something hard and functional on Trello that would be screwed up by this that others have solved easily enough from the start?

I *can* make it work for me, but it can feel like I'm having to try very hard to bend Trello to fit a very simple thing I want it to do for me sometimes.

I am not a power user, but do please point out if I'm being a numpty about this and there is an easier way (preferably one that does not involve subscribing to some glorified power-up that costs £20 per month or more to use).
