By default, to my knowledge Trello completely prohibits the crawling of any public or private board which is nice for most people but what about the people who actually want to share to a growing audience. It really just stunts growth and should be a toggleable feature.

You're right! Trello's default setting indeed restricts the crawling of both public and private boards by search engines. This approach prioritizes user privacy and security, ensuring that sensitive or private information isn't inadvertently exposed.
However, for users who wish to share their public boards more widely and make them discoverable to a larger audience, it can be limiting. Currently, Trello doesn't offer a built-in toggle to easily switch this setting to allow search engine indexing.
For those interested in making a Trello board more accessible, there are a few alternative approaches:
Sharing Direct Links: You can share the direct URL of your public board on social media, blogs, or other platforms to increase visibility.
Embedding Boards: Trello offers an option to embed boards on websites. This can be done by generating an embed code from the board's menu, which can then be added to a website. This won't make the board crawlable by search engines, but it can help increase visibility if the website itself is well-indexed.
