If reset mean the description is gone it might be because text was written, but the Save button was never pressed. It happens from time to time that people have texts but it was only on their machine in the browser cache
You can try this tool: https://trellotools.azurewebsites.net/CardHistory
It can show how a card "looked" in the past so if the text was lost by it was truly overridden. But if it was never fully saved but only in your browser memory I'm afraid it is not something that can be recovered ☹️
I checked the card history, that does not help me. Besides, it does this for every card I have which I have not written on for days, and they still had the empty description!

Thank you for clarifying. That indeed looks odd. I tried on a board of mine but was unable to reproduce this so it might be a local issue.
I would recommend you try the following to narrow down the issue
Try to see if it happens on all boards or only this board (if you only have this one board make a new dummy board to try it on). If it only happens on this board it could be some PowerUp or automation causing it. If it happens on all boards it could be some browse extension causing to (you can test that by openibg trello in another browser you normally not use)

I don't use any powerup on my cards.
I also tried using a different browser, that didn't work aswell.
The only thing I'm doing is copying the cards from my main board, and put it on a test. That does not work.

Did it also happen on a brand new dummy board?

I made a new board, and yes it did happen.

Ok, out of ideas then. I've flagged this question for the Trello team to take a look at
