We have 3 boards. Two are under the name of a person and a third under another. We want to subscribe to the Premium version and start paying before April 8, which is when some features of the free version expire. We want to know how to ensure that all the boards are under the same name so that all of this is transferred to the new premium version. Our priority is so that we are not locked out of any board.

Hi You won't be locked out of any board on April 8th, that is just the first phase, which prevents you adding new members when you have reached the limit.  Also coming in April is an extension to the Trello Premium Trial so you can take that out, sort all the boards then be ready for May/June when this kicks in

In addition to Mike's points, if you're looking to consolidate, we have some more information on how to move a board from one Workspace to another here: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/moving-a-board-to-a-different-workspace/

One other note—it will still be possible to move boards to a different Workspace after they become read-only. If they're moved to an upgraded Workspace at that point, you'll be able to edit them again. So you will not be locked out.
