How come when I remove a user I can still see them under "members". I wanted them completely gone.

Atlassian Team members are employees working across the company in a wide variety of roles.
Hi there, welcome to the Community!
From the Members page:
- Click the Remove button to show the pop-up
- Check a box to remove the member from all boards
- From the same pop-up, click the Remove from Workspace option to remove the person from the Workspace
