Custom fields without upgrade?

Hi, Atlassian Community, 

When providing a Board Template to someone and if the custom fields are used. If the other party does not upgrade, can they still keep the custom fields on that board or will the custom fields be removed?

@Monica Dandridge custom fields would be removed I would say. There's no way to use custom fields on a free plan. You can always test to see what it would look like for the other person by copying the template into a free workspace.

@Hannah Humbert - Simpla Workflows Okay, yes. that's actually what I did. I thought for some reason it worked in the past. I remember a few years back I copied a board and it had the custom fields. I don't believe I was on a paid option. Since technology is so ever changing I didn't know if this was a thing or such.

I also hope Trello decide to add documents feature here (not just adding docs to the board from outside sources), and expand the editor a little more. The spacing is not so great until you save the info in the description. I wonder if they have any adjustments planned in the near future for any additional face lifts.

Overall Trello is my go to for over 7 years at this point. I tried mostly all the software alternatives. I must admit Trello is still my jam. I like easy & straight to the point.
