I have a Trello subscription, I created a new board but no custom fields option is showing in the menu. Older boards where custom fields power-up was used show it.
Also, cards moved to the new board show the custom fields but there is no option to add/edit/remove any fields.
Even the cover icon button was missing, but when I removed a cover icon from one of the moved cards, the button started to show.
Can someone tell me how I can add the custom field button?
I was able to fix this thanks to Rafael over at Atlassian Support. And it was the dumbest thing I didn’t think to try. Turns out it was a cache issue. I opened the troubled board in an incognito window and the custom fields were there. So back in my main window I closed the Trello tab and opened a new one. Cache issue resolved and my custom fields were there.
Not saying it’s going to fix your issue but this simple fix I didn’t try was the one that worked for me.
I'm having the exact same issue

Could you please share a screenshot of what you are seeing when you click the custom fields button?

Hi Gaurav, there is no Custom Fields button on the new board. Whatever custom fields were created on the old board shows, but I cannot add/remove/edit as there is no button on the right side where the add an item list is.

@Saju Thuruthimattam I'm not immediately able to reproduce this issue, so I have a couple more questions that will hopefully help me figure out what's happening.
1. Are you accessing Trello in a browser (which browser, if so) or one of our mobile or desktop apps (and again, which one?)
2. Does the new board you created belong to the workspace that has the paid subscription ? When you open the board and look at the top of the sidebar on the left, that will tell you which workspace the board belongs to and what type of subscription it has.

Looks like it was an issue like Sarah mentioned below with cache, when I logged in today it is all working fine.
However to answer your queries and clarify what was happening.
I use Brave and yes it is a workspace in a paid subscription. The sidebar on the left which has "Add to Card", the Custom Fields button was not showing. for me.
Anyway, all working fine, and thanks to all for assisting :)

I'm having this same issue with the Custom Fields.
In my first board I made custom fields for a card. When I moved that card to the second board I suddenly have no option to add any custom fields to other cards on this second board.
Does this mean my two BOARDS are now linked and I have to add my custom fields in the first board?
