Can I delete any of the checklist options when given the "Copy list from . . ." suggestions?

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
When I make a new checklist on a card, it's nice to use the "Copy list from . . . " suggestions. BUT, my list is so, so long that it's easier to type it in without use of that option. Then that just adds to the length of the list! Is it possible to erase the list options?
