[Trello Holiday Calendar] Day 3: 3 tips on your first day with Trello

Thanks to @Brittany Joiner for this opportunity and now grab some gingerbread & punch and let me share some of my experiences I made when starting with Trello!

When you start with Trello you might have more or less an experience what you want to do, manage, plan with this amazing tool => but probably you are not sure where and how to start!

Here comes tip #1

#1 Use templates https://trello.com/templates (also see Day 1 and Brittanys Template tips)

There is bunch of templates for a lot of categories that will support you so that you will find inspiration and don’t have to build from scratch.

Now that you’re having your first board - you might have further questions!

No need to worry

#2 Look up - try out - find help
(not every time in this order)

  • Take a look on the well written Trello guide and find all main information needed
  • Don’t be afraid and give it a try :)
  • Join the wonderful Atlassian Community and ask for support - hey you already did it ✅

#3 FAQ

  • Archiving a card or list does not mean it’s gone forever => look at
    • Show menu -> … More -> You find Archived Cards & Lists and move them back to your board
  • Have good look on Visibility and Permissions 👮‍♀️
  • There is no right or wrong -> Trello is so awesomely flexible and will fit your needs

++ checking out visibility and permissions if you're wondering why you (or someone on your board!) can't see something! Great post @Fabienne Gerhard thanks for writing!
